Due to increased business demands and ongoing business development we are now hiring an ASSISTANT BAR MANAGER.
This is opening presents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced bar person to further their career and personal development in a busy, dynamic and fast paced environment.
Previous bar experience is essential and previous supervisory bar experience is desirable.

JOB SCOPE AND PURPOSE
|
Ensure the smooth running and profitability of the bar by consistently maintaining the highest standards of food & beverage service and delivery. |
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
|
- Provide a friendly, welcoming and entertaining atmosphere
- Keep alert for any disruptive behaviour which may occur that negatively impacts safety or customer enjoyment
- Enforce the law on the sale of alcohol
- Take drink orders, collect payment, prepare and serve drinks in a polite and professional manner
- Check bills, cash-up and reconcile all monies and floats at the end of each shift
- Close at the required time and ensure that no after hours or late drinking occurs
- Ensure bar staff are quick on their feet and excel in the delivery of the highest standard of drinks service
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant opening hours, menus, operating procedures and table layout
- Employment, induction, training, motivating and reviewing of bar and floor staff
- Lead by example in maintaining an excellent timekeeping and attendance record and report all occurrences of lateness and absenteeism to the personnel department
- Ensure all bar staff are suitable presented and in full uniform
- Ensure customer care is consistently of the highest standard
- Report and record any evidence of an accident and/or disruptive behaviour
- Ensure door staff is wearing the appropriate uniform
- Ensure the smoke free legislation is adhered to
- Ensure that the designated smoking area is immaculately kept at all times

- Good memory and be quick in executing orders
- Cheerful disposition and able to work under pressure
- Skilful at handling cash and book-keeping
- Physically fit, energetic and well presented with a stamina for working long hours, evenings, weekends and public holidays
